Chapter 4: Special?

“Chris Flame. Please report to the principal's office, ” Mrs. Penicat said during defense class. Howgat’s office was as big as 100 dormitories. I didn’t know how to find Mr. Howgat in such a big room. But I guess I didn’t have to.

“Do you know why you are here?” Mr. Howgat asked ten feet away, sitting at his polished, luxury desk.

“No, sir, ” I replied nervously. Why am I here is the big question.

“Have you seen anyone with telekinesis, fire resistance, firepower, and the duplicating power besides you?” he asked.

“No, sir, ” I said again.

“Isn’t it weird having four extremely rare powers while others only have two common ones?” Mr. Howgat asked.

“Yes, sir, ” I said. He nodded his head.

“So you never thought of that before, have you?”

“Never.” He nodded his head again.

“Now, I need to put you to the test. Go in that room over there,” Mr. Howgat pointed to an old, wooden door carved with teeth. I went inside and saw a dark room. It smelled like foul-tasting pickles. The instant I stepped inside, the door closed. I turned around and saw a mouse on the ground. What did Mr. Howgat think I was? A fly? The mouse turned into a dog. Then it turned into a huge thing that made Mount Everest look like a baby cat. Yeah, Mr. Howgat probably thought I was as strong as the Earth.

That monster came charging at me. He blew this big wind blast at me, and I flew 200 meters from it and hit the door. I would have broken the door, but it was made of enchanted wood. So this thing wanted to play, huh? Well, I would show it. My whole body ignited with fire, and I tied him around a pole nearby with telekinesis. The thing escaped from my telekinesis and came charging at me. I quickly threw a fireball at its eye, and it stopped moving for a second. I kept throwing fireballs at it. I duplicated the fireballs and merged them to form a massive, spinning ball of fire. I threw it at the monster, and it started to turn to ashes. It came at me at a super speed but turned to ashes when it touched me. I saw a carved word marked, ‘Alcomizonianyestercopinaying.’ I was still on fire when I got out of the door. Mr. Howgat greeted me with a hard stare in the eye.

“Well, that was fast, ” he said, studying me.
